Über die Stelle
Als Senior PHP Developer (m/w/d) befasst du dich hauptsächlich mit dem Herzen unserer Anwendung und deren Weiterentwicklung. 

Dazu gehören nicht nur reibungslose Feature-Deployments und problem- und schmerzlose Releases, sondern auch die Wartung der IT-Infrastruktur. Deine Meinung und Expertise ist maßgebend für die zukünftige Entwicklung und Strukturierung unserer Web-Anwendung. Bei uns bekommst du nicht nur Tickets vorgelegt, die du von links nach rechts schiebst, sondern bist bei der Entwicklung neuer Features von Anfang an dabei - vom Brainstorming bis hin zum Release. Dabei arbeitest du quasi täglich mit Kolleg:innen aus Product und Tech zusammen.
Mit deinem Blick für das Ganze kannst du deine Kolleg:innen auf Probleme und Möglichkeiten rund um unsere Plattform aufmerksam machen und Lösungsansätze liefern.

Als Senior hast du bereits eine mehrjährige Erfahrung als PHP-Entwickler:in. Dabei hast du einen Großteil der Zeit mit dem Laravel Framework gearbeitet. Laravel Forge und andere Produkte aus dem Laravel Ökosystem sind dir nicht fremd. Du hast bereits die verschiedenen Lebenszyklen einer Softwareentwicklung erlebt und aktiv mitgewirkt. 
Grundwissen in Bezug auf AWS-Tools, insbesondere RDS, EKS, S3, Lambda ist nice to have.

Deine Mission
  • Du entwickelst und verbesserst kontinuierlich unsere Webanwendungen
  • Du entwirfst skalierbare Prozesse rund um Continuous Integration und Continuous Delivery und evaluierst neue Technologien für kommende Features
  • Du übernimmst eigenverantwortlich die Umsetzung neuer Konzepte und bist maßgeblich an der Planung, Konzeption und Umsetzung unserer Softwaresysteme beteiligt
  • Deine Arbeit ist die Grundlage für die darauf aufbauenden Bereiche
Deine Skills
  • Du hast sehr gute Kenntnisse in PHP sowie sehr gute Kenntnisse in Bezug auf das Laravel Framework und dem Ecosystem von Laravel
  • Du verfügst über gute bis sehr gute Kenntnisse rund um Datenbankverwaltung (MySQL und MongoDB) und kennst dich gut bis sehr gut im Software-Engineering (Objekt-Orientiertes Design, Design Patterns, Testing) aus
  • Du bist fit mit dem CLI
  • Du hast Spaß am Entwickeln und eine hohe Leistungsbereitschaft mit Hands-On Mentalität
  • Du arbeitest eigenverantwortlich mit hohem Qualitätsbewusstsein
  • Du besitzt verhandlungssichere Deutschkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift und kannst dich auch auf Englisch verhandlungssicher verständigen
  • Du denkst nicht in festgefahrenen Konzern-Strukturen, sondern weißt mit den sich ständig ändernden Anforderungen in einem Start-Up umzugehen
  • Grundwissen im Bereich HTML, JavaScript und CSS setzen wir voraus
  • Optional bringst du Basiswissen in GoLang mit

About the position
As a PHP Developer (m/f/d), you will mainly deal with the heart of our application and its further development. 
This includes not only smooth feature deployments and problem-free and painless releases, but also the maintenance of the IT infrastructure. Your opinion and expertise are crucial for the future development and structuring of our web application. With us, you won't just be presented with tickets that you move from left to right, but will be involved in the development of new features right from the start - from brainstorming to release. You'll work with colleagues from Product and Tech on an almost daily basis.
With your eye for the big picture, you can draw your colleagues' attention to problems and opportunities around our platform and provide solutions.
As a senior, you already have several years of experience as a PHP developer. You have worked with the Laravel Framework for a large part of this time. You are no stranger to Laravel Forge and other products from the Laravel ecosystem. You have already experienced and actively participated in the various lifecycles of software development. 
Basic knowledge of AWS tools, especially RDS, EKS, S3, Lambda is nice to have.

  • You can work with CLI
  • You enjoy developing and are highly motivated with a hands-on mentality
  • You work independently with a high level of quality awareness
  • You are fluent in written and spoken English and ideally can also communicate fluently in German
  • You don't think in terms of rigid corporate structures, but know how to deal with the constantly changing requirements of a start-up
  • You have basic knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and CSS
  • Optionally you have basic knowledge of GoLang
